Few rock stars of the 60s and 70s had the sex appeal of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant. In an interview, he once said he carefully studied Elvis' moves. All I can say is, well done, grasshopper! How could I resist drawing him? He reminds me of my sexy husband, Barry; with his tousled curly mane  and dimpled chin that I could just crawl into! As a teenager on rainy days, I used to sit in my room and draw for hours. I'd replay The Rain Song over and over. I did the same thing for inspiration as I drew this rendering of the greatest crooner of all time, Mr. Robert Plant.

Heaven's Latest Addition to the Choir of Angels

Barry saw a new estate auction that popped up on Facebook. It included the personal belongings of the late Olivia Newton John who sadly passed  2 years ago.  Among her estate items were several of her own drawings, crosses, mirrors, watches, clothing, and a Bible. It inspired me to draw her likeness. Sweet and angelic...Sandy from Grease. She lived near us in the Santa Ynez Valley and I had the blessing of meeting her and talking to her during one of her fund raisers. I just remember how kind and sweet she was and how her personality matched her perfect voice. Yes, without a doubt, the Heavenly  Choir welcomed this new angel with open arms.  May this rendering remind us all of this beautiful soul we lost.

Bloody Ozzy

Brits throw the word "bloody" around all the time so I figured I'd title this painting with it as well. After all, Black Sabbath conjures up snguinous images of bloody this and that. What rock star collection would be complete without a scratching of Ozzy. Sharrrrrron!

Together In Heaven: Shanann, Cece and Bella Watts

On August 13th 2018 in rhe wee hours of dawn, health supplement entrepreneur Shanann Watts and her 2 daughters, Cece and Bella, were murdered. Shanann was also pregnant with a son named Nico. Chris Watts, husband and father, strangled them all in a premeditated act in order to start a new life with his mistress.  It isn't important how they died but how they lived. Now they are spending eternity in heaven together and Chris? Well, Chris will be spending the rest of his life in prison; a fate much more merciful than the fate of his family. His 4 year-old daughter Bella was recorded singing a song about her daddy called My Daddy is A Hero. Nothing could have been further from the truth.
