I dream of being a Grandma, or at least pretending to be one. I got that chance this week when a beautiful, talented singer,  entrusted me to watch over her jet-lagged 2-year old sleeping in the green room while she went for a press interview. I looked at the sweet little angel, sleeping so peacefully and thought...time to do a drawing! 

In honor of black history month, I thought it fitting to honor one of the great unsung heroes in this country whom little attention has been given. The man coming out of the bleeding heart is late retired police captain, David Dorn, who on June 20. 2020, attempted to stop a pawn shop burglary and was fatefully gunned down. He died defending justice, law and order: altruisms that have been choked out by the weeds of our declining societal morals. May he rest in peace
