Horses of Course of Course!

Commissioned paintings are my cryptonite. As soon as I hear the words "paint this", i go into panic mode. So when a friend's friend asked me to paint her grand daughter and not one but FIVE horses, my hands got clammy. Not only that but she wanted the paintibg 10x20". I'm not comforable doing large size paintings because the squiggle marks and little jagged errors are magnified when it's enlarged. Lucky for me, the giclee printer could only print it 10x13. And, the client was easy to please. The whole painting took me about a week which is a lot faster than i thought it would. I hope to one day meet Maddie and her 5 horses in person some day

Stacy Peterson

Stacy Peterson, who has been missing since 2007, speaks through this drawing. Although her alleged murderer, Drew is in prison for the murder of his 2nd wife, Kathleen, It is my hope and prayer that Stacy will be found or Drew will finally confess. Stacy was a victim of domestic violence. Unfortunately for her, she waited too late to leave. May this beautiful soul rest in peace and may this painting bring comfort to those she leaves behind. UPDATE : Remote sonar technology has decently discovered remains believed to be those of Stacy at the bottom of the Illinois canal. Her sister, Cassandra is asking for donations to help divers recover her remains so she can be brought to her final resting place.  To donate, click on this link.  http://searchingforstacypeterson.com/

Remember the Monarch Remember Gabby

I choked back tears as I finished the last pen strokes of this one. This is Gabby Petito: the 5th soul in my victims of domestic violence series.  Why the butterflies, you ask? The last photo taken of this 22-year old was on a monarch butterfly background.  She had a lot in common with these brilliant insects. She was beautiful and traveled long distances. Gabby Petito, an influencer, was killed some time in August of 2021 by her fiance, Brian Laundrie while on a cross country trip. There were signs of abuse along the way but they were shelved until it was too late. This is for Gabby and all of those who didn't leave, couldn't leave or have yet to leave an abusive situation. Fly high,  sweet Gabby.
